Calendar of Events

Our monthly guild meetings are open to all who have an interest in learning, sharing or teaching calligraphy or any of its related arts. We start with a very short business meeting followed by a program. The monthly program topic is posted in the calendar below. A few days before each meeting, we post a supply list to bring for the month's program. If you don't have a particular item, we often have extras to share.

Where and When We Meet

Our meetings are held at 6:30 PM on the first Thursday after Labor Day in September, and the first Thursday of every month, October through June at the Community Center of the Capital Manor Retirement Community in West Salem.

Folded Pen Adventures with Carol DuBosch

This exciting adventure begins by learning a distinctive modern script with a Folded Pen. Folded-pen script, though similar to pointed brush writing, is easier to learn and has a unique contemporary feel. The workshop will also explore layout and practical applications for the script. The folded pen is likely to become your favorite writing tool, as you develop a passion for expressive lettering. The workshop is for the beginner and the more experienced calligrapher. To learn more and for registration instructions, view the workshop flier.
