Our meetings are open to all who have an interest in learning, sharing or teaching calligraphy or any of its related arts.
Where and When We Meet
Our meetings are held at 6:30 PM (**Please note this new start time**) on the first Thursday after Labor Day in September, and the first Thursday of every month, October through June at the Community Center of the Capital Manor Retirement Community in West Salem.

May 24 and 25, 2025

Fraktur with Nina Tran
Our first day of class will begin with broad-edged pen basics and a quick study of Gothic Textura minuscules, from which we will directly derive our version of Frakturminuscules. Our second day will focus on Fraktur majuscules and to adorn them with flourishes.

Oregon State Fair
Visit us at the Oregon State Fair! The Fair includes a calligraphy show and a calligraphy demonstration table where members write names to raise funds for calligraphy programs for high school students. Visit the Capital Calligraphers State Fair page for more information on entering your work and to sign up to write names at our table.

Capital Calligraphers & Portland Society for Calligraphy Joint Exhibit
The theme of this exhibit will be "Welcome Words." In addition to calligraphy pieces by CCG and PSC members, this exhibit may include books in the Mt. Angel Abbey Library collection.
